YEOVIL NEWS: Building community spirit in Birchfield

A GROUP of residents in the Birchfield area of Yeovil is looking at improving community spirit within its neighbourhood.

The Birchfield Area Residents’ Association is a small friendly group of people of all ages who live within the area they want to improve.

An association spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “We are not do-gooders or geeks, but we are fed-up with the negativity.

“There is so much going on around us and we would love to hear about it and let everyone else know about it.”

The group is looking to produce a newsletter and would like to hear from anyone who wants to get involved.

The association will be holding a get-together at Benz Café in Birchfield Road on Thursday, August 21, from 7pm. Nibbles and drinks will be provided.
