YEOVIL NEWS: Silent charity auction at Octagon Theatre ends 2pm TODAY!

THE Octagon Theatre’s 40th anniversary silent auction is coming to an end later today (Friday, August 1, 2014).

With more than 40 fantastically unique and exciting lots, you are sure to find something you will want to bid on.

The silent auction is an initiative of the Octagon’s Foyer Club and will raise money for the award-winning theatre.

Now that the Foyer Club is officially a charity, it is working harder than ever to provide extra funding for the Yeovil theatre’s upkeep and development.

Lots in the auction include donated prizes from Mulberry’s Restaurant and Grill, the Helen Laxton School of Dance Scholarship, the RSPCA West Hatch Wildlife Centre, The Green Room restaurant, Wincanton Racecourse, the Allen School of Dance, Nuffield Health, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Nine Springs Natural Health Clinic and VIP packages for West End shows.

Previous funds raised by the Foyer Club have gone towards infra-red hearing system upgrade, the café/bar sofas, front of house safety radios, the theatre’s beautiful grand piano and much more.

To make a bid – simply send an email to octagontheatre@southsomerset.gov.uk or drop your bid into the Octagon today marked Silent Auction, The Octagon Theatre, Hendford, Yeovil, Somerset BA20 1UX with your name, address, telephone number, email address, the lot you are bidding for and the amount that you are bidding.

BUT YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK - BIDDING CLOSES AT 2pm TODAY (FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 2014).

All bidders must be 18 years of age or above.

All bids must be higher than the previous “current highest bid” listed on the website.
