YEOVIL NEWS: Woman punched in face at Mudford Rec

A WOMAN suffered a dislocated jaw when she was punched in the face at Yeovil Recreation Centre.

Police are now appealing for information to the incident which happened at the centre – more commonly known among local people as Mudford Rec – on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at about 3.30pm.

A police spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “The victim, a white woman who has light brown shoulder length hair and is 5ft 5ins tall, was approached by another woman, who punched her in the face.

“The woman who was assaulted sustained a dislocated jaw and required treatment at the Yeovil District Hospital.

“We believe there might have been people in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.”
