YEOVIL NEWS: Vandals strike again at Ninesprings

UNBELIEVABLE! Vandals have once again struck at a quiet play area at the Yeovil Country Park.

While countryside rangers and volunteers have been running a “well dressing” event at the park today (Saturday, July 12, 2014) to make flower garlands to decorate the springs and streams - they have also been having to deal with the vandals who have again damaged the woodland play zone.

The quiet woodland area play zone at the country park – more commonly known as Ninesprings - has been a regular target for mindless yobs and, as the photo above goes to show, it has been vandalised once again with the smashing of benches.

If anyone has any information about who is responsible please call police on 101 or 9101 from mobiles.

The countryside rangers do work with the police on a Parkwatch scheme – but they need the “eyes” of park-users to help by reporting incidents.

The country park's social networking Facebook page has received numerous comments from supporters who have been sickened by the latest act of vandalism.
