GLASTONBURY 2014: Man dies in hospital after alleged Ketamine reaction

POLICE at Glastonbury Festival have confirmed this afternoon (Friday, June 27, 2014) that a man who had been taken to hospital after allegedly taking the banned drug Ketamine has died.

The 26-year-old man from Berkshire was taken to hospital from the Worthy Farm site yesterday morning after falling ill.

The police said early this morning he remained in a "life threatening condition" - but have now confirmed the worse that the man has actually died.

A police spokesman said: “Unfortunately the man taken ill after a suspected reaction to Ketamine has died this morning. His family are aware and being supported.”

The Yeovil Press reported yesterday that it was understood the man suffered an adverse reaction after taking the banned Class B drug Ketamine.
