SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Driver left in precarious position
A DRIVER was left unable to get out of their car after finding themselves in a precarious 45-degree angle position in a village near Yeovil.
Firefighters from Yeovil, Crewkerne and Beaminster were called out at just after 6.30pm to the incident in Willis Lane, North Perrott.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were mobilised to reports of a car in a precarious position on a roadside bank after leaving the road.
“The precarious position of the vehicle meant that the driver was unable to get out.
“Crews found the car at a 45-degree angle on a bank.”
Officers used airbags, lines and small tools to stabilise the vehicle and were able to get the driver out of the car safely.
