YEOVIL NEWS: Wonderful support for Ninesprings injury victim Jordan

PROUD mum Nyreen Coupe has been overwhelmed by the messages of support and good wishes her son has received since his horror accident at Yeovil Country Park.

Jordan Williamson, 13, was left in agony when playing at the park – better known as Ninesprings – on Saturday (May 17, 2014) with his pals.

They had been playing on a rope swing, but Jordan fell badly and suffered serious injuries to his leg and foot.

He was initially taken to Yeovil District Hospital, but was soon transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital because of the extent of his injuries and has had a couple of operations this week.

But Nyreen told the Yeovil Press tonight (Thursday, May 22, 2014) that Jordan’s determination was keeping his spirits strong and they had been buoyed by the terrific support they had received from well-wishers.YEOVIL NEWS: Wonderful support for Ninesprings injury victim Jordan

“We’ve had loads of get well messages and people giving their support and asking if they can do anything to help – even from people we don’t know have contacted us via social media,” said Nyreen.

She said she would like to thank everyone for their support.

“Jordan’s doing well bless him – his determination astonishes me. He’s just eager to get on with his road to recovery," she added.

“He’s finding it hard having to keep completely still because of his surgery and we won’t know if it has worked until they take the dressing off tomorrow (Friday) – so we are keeping our fingers-crossed.”

Jordan was at Ninesprings with his pals Jamie Garrett, Leon Farley and Jack Curtis –who all attend Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil – and they all came to the fore in getting him help when the accident happened.
