SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Diesel spillage on the road

FIREFIGHTERS were sent out yesterday (Thursday, April 10, 2014) afternoon to deal with reports of an “unidentified liquid” which had spilt onto the road at Haselbury Plucknett.

The alarm was raised to the incident on the A3066 at just before 2pm and one fire engine from Crewkerne attended the scene.

Officers found a plastic can of diesel that had been run over and five litres of diesel had gone across the road.

Firefighters used soil dug from the roadside to soak up the spillage.
