SOMERSET NEWS: Photo contest for phone and tablet users

AN EXCITING new photography competition has been launched in Somerset – exclusively for photos taken on a phone or tablet.

Ignite Somerset is running the iSNAP contest for photographers of any age and experience. The competition is just for phone or tablet photos that have not been edited with any sort of app or software.

To enter, simply take your photo, or iSNAP, and head to www.ignitesomerset.com/isnap to submit your picture. Winning entries will be displayed in the first floor gallery of the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil from June 10-23, 2014, and there is also a chance to win a high quality framed print of your work.SOMERSET NEWS: Photo contest for phone and tablet users

The competition is open to anyone and everyone but photos must be taken on a phone or tablet and be submitted unedited by any app or software.

The deadline for entries is Monday, May 26, 2014, and entry is entirely free so get iSNAPPING now to see if your work will make it to the Octagon Theatre’s first floor gallery.

A competition spokesman said: “No matter who you are this competition is a great way to have some fun with photography this spring. We can’t wait to see what incredible photos you’ll submit, so grab your phone or tablet and see what you can do.”

Although, only the winning photos will make it to the Octagon Theatre exhibition, all entries will be displayed in the online gallery on the project website.
