SOMERSET NEWS: In the right place to phone for help!

A WOMAN called for help for the emergency services last night from a phone box – which she had got stuck in!

A fire crew from Bridgwater was mobilised at just before 8pm following a call from a distressed woman who was complaining of being stuck in the phone box in Salmon Parade she was making her emergency call.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Shortly after arriving the crew were able to release her easily.

“It appears she was in distress after reporting that someone had shut her inside the phone box – although this could not be verified.”

The spokesman added: “Whilst a little distressed the woman was released unharmed.”
