Housing plans for Goldcroft

Housing plans for Goldcroft

PLANS have been unveiled for a new housing development in Yeovil close to the town centre.

Hammonds Yates Ltd have applied to South Somerset District Council for permission to build 19 homes on disused land at the junction of Goldcroft and the access road into the Goldcroft public car park.

The application site is a redundant piece of land previously used for employment, although all the buildings have long since been demolished.

The proposed scheme will include a mixture of one and two-bedroom flats, along with two, three and five-bedroom houses.

The council is expected to make a decision on the application by the end of April 2014.
