Yeovil Town FC girl band - looking great and sounding sensational!

ORGANISERS of the controversial Yeovil Town FC girl band have said that the group is “looking and sounding sensational” ahead of its debut performance at Huish Park next month.

The Sky Bet Championship club caused a stir among some supporters back in November when it announced that it was collaborating with a music industry company to produce an all-singing and all-dancing girl band.Yeovil Town FC girl band - looking great and sounding sensational!

The controversial “cheerleading” project has evoked strong and divided opinions among the Yeovil Town fans, but despite this, the band organisers insist that the scheme is to increase revenue and exposure for the club, as well as raising money for Prostate Cancer UK, and is at no financial cost to the Glovers.

Auditions were held in early December, and despite a low numbered turn out, project manager Polly Maclennan was not downbeat.

“We were looking for quality not quantity and we were very impressed by the standard who attended the auditions,” she said.

During the Christmas period four talented ladies were being put through their paces, training hard both vocally and physically during boot camp weekends in Bristol.

The charity single has been recorded and will be released on iTunes during early Spring.

The four beautiful girls have had complete style transformations and are set to have their identities, band name and track revealed during their debut pitch performance on Saturday, February 8, 2014, during Yeovil Town’s Sky Bet Championship game with Leeds United.
