Bathroom fire on outskirts of Yeovil

AN ELECTRIC wall heater caught fire at a home yesterday (Sunday, December 28, 2013) on the outskirts of Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just after 2.30pm to the property in Main Street, Mudford, and three fire engines from Yeovil, Sherborne and Castle Cary were mobilised.

Firefighters found that the incident involved an electric towel rail and heater in the bathroom of the property.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
