Thousands support Christmas Extravaganza in aid of Flying Colours Appeal

THOUSANDS of people poured through the doors of the Westland Leisure Complex in Yeovil this weekend to support a Christmas Extravaganza in aid of the Flying Colours Appeal.

There was an ice rink and fun fair for people of all ages to enjoy, plus a whole host of craft stalls and activities yesterday (Saturday, November 29, 2013) and today (Sunday, December 1, 2013).

The Fun Zone was there with its festive-themed reindeer rodeo ride, while talented magician Atticus Bowring was conjuring up plenty of entertainment.

There were some special guests during the weekend including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse who were only too pleased to pose for photos with young visitors to the Christmas Extravanganza.

And the weekend would not have been complete without Father Christmas himself being there in his specially-constructed grotto to find out what presents children want to open on December 25.

All money raised from the event will go towards the appeal set up to raise money for the special care baby unit at Yeovil District Hospital.

Congratulations to Sarah Cherry, of Flying Colours Appeal, and her team of supporters for putting on another excellent weekend of fun at the Westland Leisure Complex.
