Burglary warning to people in South Somerset

POLICE are asking homeowners to be aware and to take sensible security precuations following three burglaries in one day in an area of South Somerset.

Two took place on the outskirts of Ilminster and one in Broadway, near Ilminster, where cash and jewellery was stolen.

Ilminster police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101.

A spokesman said: "We're reminding people to be vigilant and to keep valued items safe and properties secure and that includes not leaving keys in doors."
