Bingo success for Flying Colours Appeal

A BINGO group has raised over £400 for Yeovil District Hospital's Flying Colours Appeal.

The weekly bingo session is held in Chard at Bishops Court, one of Yarlington Housing Group’s retirement living schemes, and organised by the residents.Bingo success for Flying Colours Appeal

An entry fee is charged each week which goes towards charity and at the end of the year is split between Yarlington Housing Group’s Charity of the Year; currently the Flying Colours Appeal and St Margaret’s Hospice.

Regular player Hazel Trevorrow said: "There’s such a great atmosphere here. Eight of us always sit at the same table and we have a great laugh. Even if we don’t win, it doesn’t matter as we enjoy the company so much – I always leave having had a good giggle."

Organiser Chris Sweet said: "We’re a friendly bunch and new players are always welcome.”

The bingo runs every Monday at Bishops Court in Chard with eyes down at 1.55pm. Doors open at 1.15pm.

The Flying Colours Appeal is supporting the special care baby unit at Yeovil District Hospital.
