Tumble drier fire causes emergency
FIREFIGHTERS were called out in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, September 17) to deal with a house fire.
The alarm was raised at just before 3.45am to a property in Hill View Terrace, Ilminster, and fire engines from Ilminster and Chard, plus a water carrier from Yeovil, attended the scene.
They found a fire at the rear of a two-storey building and they got to work to put the fire out.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “All persons were accounted for. The cause of the fire is believed to be due to oil on clothing within a tumble drier.”
