Hole in one for Piers Simon Appeal

BUSINESS people across the county are signing up to take part in the Somerset Chamber Annual Charity Golf Day on September 26 - in aid of the local Piers Simon Appeal and its School in a Bag initiative.

But there is still space available for businesses wishing to sponsor a hole on the course at only £100 per hole, or for those who would simply like to play on the day.Hole in one for Piers Simon Appeal

Now in its seventh year, the event takes place at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club. Open to golfers of all abilities, who can sign up in teams of four or individually, it is always a good day out as well as a great chance to network in a relaxed environment.

Following a day on the golf course, a two-course dinner will be provided, followed by presentations to the winners, then a raffle and auction in aid of School in a Bag.

Luke Simon, charity iaison officer for School in a Bag, said: “We have been delighted by the enthusiasm shown by businesses to get involved and join us for what should be a great day of golf, light competition and networking.

"Once back in the club house, players will be given the opportunity to pack their very own SchoolBag, giving them an insight into how the funds raised on the day will help vulnerable children around the world.
