Revving up for the Wessex Truck Show

Revving up for the Wessex Truck Show

PLANS for this weekend’s Wessex Truck Show at Yeovil Showground are really revving up now.

Revving up for the Wessex Truck ShowThe Wessex Truck Show will be a friendly-family event bringing together and exhibiting the best working, custom and show trucks in a venue which will allow the public to get up close to vehicles usually only seen driving up and down the country.

The show was the idea of four enthusiastic truck drivers after the annual Truckfest SouthWest event – normally held at the Royal Bath and West Showground – had moved elsewhere.

Dave Cross, Simon Edworthy, Mark Parsons and Paul Cosh formed Fosse Way Events Ltd and are now busy finishing off the plans for the two-day show which will take place on Saturday and Sunday (August 10-11).

Dave said: “Visitors will see the dedication time and hard work put in by the drivers to keep their vehicles in top condition.

“The vehicle owners and drivers will be judged in 19 different classes where trophies will be awarded to the winners.”

There will be up to 40 vintage and retro vehicles on display among the 350 vehicles booked in.
