Tree falls onto house

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning after a tree fell onto a house in South Somerset.

The alarm was raised at just after 8am to a property in Chiselborough, near Stoke-sub-Hamdon.

One fire engine from Martock was mobilised and on arrival officers found that 30 per cent of the property had been affected.

Officers, along with a council building inspector and electricity board workers, attended the scene before leaving it in the hands of the occupiers.
