Car owners urged to be vigilantPOLICE are urging motorists and residents in Yeovil to be vigilant following a number of reports of damage to cars last weekend.

Overnight on May 25-26 police received seven reports of damage being caused to cars in Ermine Street area, Watling Street, Monks Dale and Plantagenet Chase.

Unknown offenders targeted the vehicles and removed the glass from the wing mirrors.

Beat manager Simon Reeves said: "I believe that these offences are linked and that the majority of them were carried out around midnight. I would ask residents to look out for anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles and call us immediately."

Investigations are on-going, residents in the area have been spoken to and patrols have been increased.
