Yeovil Half Marathon 2013: Kimberley’s raising money for cancer charityMANY of those taking part in tomorrow’s (Sunday, March 24) Yeovil Half Marathon will be runners raising money for charity.

Among those will be Kimberley Weston who will be hoping to raise a bucket load of cash for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity.

Back in November 2008 she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, but was given the all-clear in the following June after six months of chemotherapy.

Just last year Kimberley decided to join the Yeovil Town Road Running Club as she had always wanted to become a runner.

‘’Twelve months on and with a lot of help and support from the club, I have now found myself a hobby which I absolutely love,’’ she said.

‘’People that know me will know how much I love a challenge and so this year I decided to sign up for the Yeovil Half Marathon.’’

And Kimberley joked: ‘’Yes I know I must be crazy!’’

She is hoping to raise at least £350 for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity and the work it does.

‘’Please help me reach my target,’’ she said. ‘’The half marathon is by no means going to be an easy challenge for me, but it will be my biggest achievement to date – so please help me make it worthwhile.’’

To support Kimberley please go to her Just Giving webpage at www.justgiving.com/Kimberly-Weston .

Since her own cancer issue in 2008-09, Kimberley has raised money for various cancer charities including Cancer Research UK and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
