Horse rescued at Chilthorne Domer
ONE fire engine from Yeovil and a specialist animal resuce team from Bridgwater were mobilised this morning to deal with a trapped horse at Chilthorne Domer.
The alarm was raised at just before 8.15am to reports of a horse with a leg stuck in a gate.
A spokesman for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said: ''On arrival crews found this was one horse caught on top of a gate, with a rear leg trapped in the gate cross sections.''
A vet was on scene to sedate the horse, allowing fire officers to release the horse safely,
