Love blossoms at Yarlington

A LITTLE bit of love drifted through the offices of Yarlington Housing Group in Yeovil on February 14 as Valentine verses were read and sweet treats enjoyed in a bid to raise money for The Flying Colours Appeal.Love blossoms at Yarlington

Employees across Yarlington lovingly baked some very beautiful cakes for a mid-morning cake sale and others put pen to paper and wrote creative, amusing or romantic poems for a competition judged by Gary Orr, chief executive officer.

The two competitions raised a total of £64 for Yarlington’s staff charity of the year - the Flying Colours Appeal at Yeovil District Hospital.

Yarlington's community co-ordinator Carey Howard won the cake competition with her amazingly crafted heart shaped truffle cake and Helen Palmer, community assistant, won with her poetry entry entitled Unconditional Love.

Both entrants received a box of Thornton’s chocolates as a prize.
