Funeral today for Catherine Wells-Burr

THE funeral for South Somerset murder victim Catherine Wells-Burr (pictured) will be held today at St Mary's Church in Chard.

The body of Catherine, 23, of Chard, was found in a burnt out car near Ashill close to the busy A358 Ilminster to Taunton road back in September last year.

Three people have been remanded in custody charged in connection with her death, which police are treating as murder, and they will stand trial at Bristol Crown Court in April.

University graduate Catherine worked at Numatic International in Chard and was much-loved by her family and her many friends.

Now they will come together today for the funeral service which will start at 12noon and say a final farewell to someone who's life was cut so tragically short.

RIP Catherine - may you rest in peace.
