Bad weather is perfect for Matthew and his huskies

WHILE the recent snow and ice saw sporting fixtures across the area cancelled - the bad weather conditions are, in fact, ideal for one set of sportsmen and women.

This photo shows musher Matthew Evans and his Siberian husky sled dog team taking advantage of the perfect weather at....the Ham Hill Country Park.

Matthew, of Ilchester, serves in the Royal Navy and is based at RNAS Yeovilton.

He has been in the Royal Navy for the past 13 years and in his spare time races his seven huskies for competition all over the country most weekend during the sled dog working season.
