Take care at Yeovil Country Park

COUNTRYSIDE rangers at the Yeovil Country Park are urging visitors to take care while visiting the park during the wintery weather.

Plummeting temperatures have made paths slippery and unless care is taken could lead to people falling over and possibly facing a trip to the Accident & Emergency Department at Yeovil District Hospital with broken bones.

A spokesman for the South Somerset District Council-managed park, more commonly known as Ninesprings, said: ''Please take care in our country parks and nature reserves over the next few days as paths will be slippery and untreated.''

And they also added that the temptation for young people to try and 'walk on water' at Ninesprings should also be avoided at all costs.

''Please do not attempt to walk on any frozen water as the ice will not be thick enough,'' they added.
