Snow 2013: Yeovil Hospital prepares

YEOVIL District Hospital is urging patients to attend appointments as normal tomorrow if they can - despite the forecast for heavy snow to fall over the county.

If patients are unable to attend they are asked to phone the hospital's Snow Hotline on 01935-383000.

A hospital spokesman said: ''With heavy snow forecast for tomorrow, Friday 18th January, Yeovil District Hospital is putting plans in place to ensure disruption to patients is minimised.

''We will be running all of our operating lists and outpatient clinics as usual and patients are encouraged to turn up as scheduled if they can do so safely.''

Patients should not worry if they are late for their appointment, but should try to ring if the delay is likely to be longer than 30 minutes.

If patients do not feel it is safe for them to travel to the hospital they should ring 01935-383000 as soon as possible to rearrange their appointment.
