The 1,600m sq extension of Garador’s production plant in Yeovil (pictured), makes the factory the most modern of its kind in Europe. The project has created extra space which will help it to continue providing customers high quality garage doors.

Simon Hipgrave, managing director of Garador, said: “We are committed to investing in the future of Garador and are pleased to announce this significant expansion as we start 2013.

“Creating additional factory space is imperative for the growth of the company, and is something we are extremely proud of, especially in these times of economic downturn.”

Ninety people work at the Yeovil firm and although the new extension has not created any further jobs, the project has secured the future of the existing workforce and demonstrated the company's ongoing commitment to the town.

But a statement from the company said: ''With the extra production capacity and infrastructure in place, there is potential to employ more people as and when the market and economy improves.''

All Garador products are developed and manufactured at the factory in Yeovil, where the specialist engineering employed ensures they are amongst the finest garage doors available.

Simon concludes: “We are thrilled to be going into 2013 with positive news of our extended factory and expect this additional space will be vital as orders for our products increase.”

The Garador products in high-demand include a range of maintenance-free timber-effect finish doors, which are available on Linear and Georgian Sectional doors as well as traditional Up & Over garage doors.
