Help to crack down on anti-social behaviour

Help to crack down an anti-social behaviourBUSINESS chiefs in Yeovil are reminding shoppers that it is important that they report all incidents of anti-social behaviour in the town centre.

The Yeovil Chamber of Trade and Commerce has said that statistics appear to show that anti-social behaviour in the town centre has decreased.

But a spokesman said: ‘’Is this really so – or is it that anti-social behaviour is not phoned in?

‘’Remember, it is the phone calls that are logged in that provide the statistics and the number of police officers provided in the town centre is based on these statistics.’’

While shoppers should phone all incidents to the police on 101 or, in the case of an urgent emergency, to 999; businesses are reminded that the Radio Link system is the ‘first step’ to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.
