KFC all set to open in Yeovil

KENTUCKY Fried Chicken will be opening its new drive-thru outlet in Yeovil on Monday (Nov 26) and will create 80 much-needed and welcomed jobs for the area.  KFC all set to open in Yeovil

Yeovil Town FC manager Gary Johnson will be on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open the new restaurant on the Houndstone Retail Park at 10am.

The new drive-thru will serve KFC’s famous menu items, such as the Bargain Bucket and Zinger Burgers, as well as new favourites like Krushems and the lighter, griddled Rancher range.

Area manager for KFC, Luke Matthews, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming our fans in Yeovil to the new store on Monday, and we’re delighted that Gary will be in attendance. The day is set to be great fun but we’re most excited about providing 80 career opportunities for the local community.''

KFC, which has won ‘Britain’s Top Employer 2012’ and has also been named ‘Great Place to Work’ for the past three years, is the first quick service restaurant to have launched apprenticeships with City and Guilds providing staff with A-level equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.

KFC has also worked with the government to introduce Level Two Apprenticeships for 1,600 team members per year.  At KFC team members can progress to team leaders within eight weeks, and over 60% of area coaches and restaurant general managers are promoted internally.
