Paraglider pilot rescued at Ham Hill
A PARAGLIDER pilot had to be rescued from a tree this morning after crashing at the Ham Hill Country Park at Stoke-sub-Hamdon.
The alarm was raised at just after 11.30am when the Fire Service received a call from a member of the public about a paraglider stuck up a tree more than 30ft in the air.
Fire officers from Yeovil and Martock atended the incident along with a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater.
Officers were able to rescue the pilot and a Fire Service spokesman said the man was 'fit and well.'
