UKYP’s Procedures Group (PG) makes the decisions that guide the development of UKYP, and meet to make the arrangements for the annual sitting and the debate in the House of Commons.

The Procedures Group is made up of one MYP from each region and the three devolved nations of the UK, who have been nominated by their region/nation to represent the views of their MYPs at a national level. It aims to meet a minimum of five times a year.

In front of all 40 young people and youth workers Sam conducted a two-minute speech on why he thought he would be the best person to represent UKYP South West at a national level.

Sam said:  ''UKYP has made me who I am today; it has made me confident and happy to be myself.

''As the Procedures Group representative for the South West I want to make sure that the South West and UKYP as a whole never loses what makes it special.

''That being the friendly atmosphere at every meeting and the passion for youth issues that every member shares. I am very tenacious and will work myself to the bone for what I care for; which is UKYP.''
