YEOVIL NEWS: Tumble drier fire at Beaulieu Drive

FIREFIGHTERS were called out on Tuesday (March 14, 2017) following reports of a tumble drier on fire at a home in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just before 10.30am to the problem in Beaulieu Drive, Yeovil, and three fire engines from the town were mobilised.

On arrival the firefighters found there had been a small fire, but it was out on arrival.

“The fire was caused by a small amount of lint burning inside the drier,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman. “Crews removed the drier to the open air.”

Beaulieu Drive is on the Abbey Manor estate.
