YEOVIL NEWS: Mostly Media savours FA Cup delight

A YEOVIL firm has been basking in some FA Cup glory after one of its staff members led Taunton Town FC to the First Round of the world’s most famous club knockout competition for the first time in 35 years.

Leigh Robinson works as commercial manager at Mostly Media, which is based in Hendford, but in his spare time he is also the gaffer at Southern League outfit Taunton Town.

And last night (Tuesday, October 18, 2016) Leigh was celebrating with his players after they won 1-0 at Hemel Hempstead in a FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round replay.

They now face Barrow at home in the FA Cup First Round with the tie scheduled to take place on the weekend of November 5, 2016.

A spokesman for Mostly Media, speaking on social networking Facebook, said: “Whooop! Massive congratulations to Leigh Robinson, our erstwhile commercial manager.

“He has guided his Taunton Town team through to the First Round of the FA Cup vs Barrow. Get in there son!”

The last time Taunton made it through to the First Round was back in 1981 when they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Swindon Town.
