SOMERSET NEWS: Man left with serious head and neck injuries after assault

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Bridgwater duromg the early hours of this morning (Saturday, September 10, 2016).

The incident took place shortly after 2am outside a property on Gordon Terrace.

A police spokesman said: “An altercation took place between a number of people which resulted in one man sustaining serious head and neck injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.”

One man has been arrested in connection with this incident and was taken into police custody.
