YEOVIL NEWS: Violent assault leaves victim with serious facial injuries

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a violent incident in Yeovil earlier this month which saw a man have his nose bitten.

A violent altercation occurred at approximately 10.45pm on June 5, 2016, near Earle Street between two men, which resulted in the suspect biting the victim’s nose causing significant facial injuries.

The incident had occurred after the suspect had become verbally abusive and aggressive towards the victim, which was quite loud and potentially would have attracted some attention. The incident then became violent.

PC Jim Card said: “Whilst we have made an arrest in relation to this incident, we are keen to speak to further witnesses. If you saw or heard anything and you haven’t previously spoken to us then please get in touch. This incident has resulted in the victim receiving significant injury to their face.”
