SOMERSET NEWS: Vehicle left in precarious position in ditch

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning (Wednesday, June 8, 2016) after a vehicle was left in a precarious position in a ditch following an accident.

The Fire Service was called at just after 5am to the problem in Tilleys Drove at Godney on the Mendips.

Two fire engines were mobilised from Wells along with further support from Glastonbury.

Firefighters arrived and confirmed the incident involved a single-vehicle crash with the vehicle left in a dangerous position in a ditch.

Officers managed to stabilise the vehicle and release one casualty from the vehicle and into the hands of awaiting ambulance paramedics.

Police were also in attendance.
