YEOVIL NEWS: Car fire on Abbey Manor

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning (Thursday, April 7, 2016) to deal with a car fire in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just after 4.45am to the problem in Stourton Way on the Abbey Manor estate after reports came in about a vehicle on fire.

One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised and firefighters found one car to be well alight.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said that the incident caused damage to the road surface and that the highways department at Somerset County Council had been notified.
