SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Go and meet your town councillors in Ilminster

ILMINSTER people are being invited to go along and quiz their councillors on any issues which are troubling them.

The town council will hold its first feedback meeting on Tuesday (February 2, 2016) at the Ile Youth Club at 7.30pm.

Cllr Rose Neave, the Ilminster Mayor, said “This is an opportunity for people to come and meet town councillors, ask questions and make suggestions about the work of the town council.

“There will not be a formal, written agenda, it is for those members of the public attending to raise topics.”

The Mayor added: “A record will be kept of questions asked and any suggestions made by the public and if a response cannot be given on the night we will follow it up as soon as we can.

“There is no need to contact the town council office beforehand, people should just turn up on the night willing to participate in a constructive and open minded way.”
