SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Blood donor sessions in Chard

THE NHS Blood and Transplant organisation is appealing for more volunteers to come forward in the Chard and Ilminster area and “do something amazing.”

By attending a blood donor session and you will be helping to meet the demand for blood form local hospitals and you never know….your blood could help to save a life.

Donor sessions are being held on Monday, November 30, and Tuesday, December 1, at the Guildhall in Fore Street, Chard, from 1pm to 3.30pm and from 4.30pm to 7.15pm.

A spokesman for NHS Blood and Transplant said: “With just four per cent of the eligible population giving blood, we always need new donors.”

People are strongly recommended to book an appointment – call 0300-123-23-23.
