SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Teenage girl assaulted in park

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted by a man in a park.

The incident happened at about 9pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in the RecreationPark in Keinton Mandeville.

A police spokesman said: “The girl was left bruised after she was grabbed by the upper arm and dragged across the park by a man. The man ran off after the girl managed to struggle free and raise the alarm.”

The suspect is described as white, around 6ft tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a navy jacket with TOG written on the left breast and black or grey trousers.

The police spokesman added: “The man also had a small brown and white spaniel with him which was wearing a red collar with lights on.”

Anyone who was in the park around the time and who thinks they may have seen the man, or who recognises the description, is asked to call 101 quoting 5215012114.
