YEOVIL NEWS: Drug dealer sent to prison

A 40-year-old man was jailed for five-and-a-half years at Taunton Crown Court on Friday (September 18, 2015) after admitting possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply in Yeovil.

Andrew Wortley of St Mary’s Road, Nuneaton, was arrested in Hendford, Yeovil, on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, on suspicion of possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Appearing before Taunton Crown Court on Friday he admitted one count of possessing 128 wraps of heroin and another count of possessing 100 wraps of crack cocaine, with a total estimated street value of more than £2,000.

He was handed a five-and-a-half year jail term for each count, to be served concurrently.
