SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Water tank ruptures at Ilminster home

A WATER tank ruptured during a fire last week at a home in Ilminster.

Firefighters from Ilminster, Chard and Crewkerne were called out to deal with the incident when the alarm was raised at just after 12.15pm on Wednesday (September 9, 2015) to the property in The Incline.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews discovered a fire within the flat roof space of the property.

“The fire caused the water tank to rupture and caused damage to the whole of the property.”
