YEOVIL NEWS: Hob fire at Barwick home

FIREFIGHTERS from Yeovil were mobilised after getting reports of a fire at a home on the outskirts of the town.

The alarm was raised at just after 5.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 21, 2015) to the problem at a property in Higher Bullen, Barwick, and two fire engines from Yeovil and a third crew from Sherborne were called out.

But officers confirmed that the fire – located in the kitchen on a hob – had been put out prior to their arrival.

The Fire Service reported that all persons were accounted for.
