SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Child gets leg trapped in bridge

A YOUNG child had to be rescued this morning (Thursday, July 16, 2015) after getting their leg trapped in a wooden slated play bridge.

The alarm was raised at just after 11.45am to the incident in School Lane, Tatworth, near Chard, and one fire engine from Chard was mobilised.

Firefighters were able to release the child from the bridge uninjured.
