SOMERSET NEWS: Woman in hospital after being hit by a truck

A WOMAN is in hospital after being hit by a truck yesterday (Tuesday, May 12, 2015) in Shepton Mallet.

Police are now seeking the public’s help following the serious road traffic collision which happened just before 2pm at the junction of Commercial Road and Paul Street shortly before 2pm.

A police spokesman said: “A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was in collision with a truck.

“She was taken by air ambulance to SouthmeadHospital in Bristol with serious multiple injuries. She remains in a critical but stable condition.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help us.”
