PEDAL FROM PARIS 2015: Good luck to the cyclists!

AROUND  100 cyclists will be setting off from Yeovil today (Wednesday, April 29, 2015) heading for Paris in readiness for their marathon charity cycle ride back to Somerset.

They will travel from Yeovil Town Football Club’s Huish Park stadium by coach and catch the Eurostar train from London to Paris.

The 241-mile cycle ride back from Paris will start tomorrow (Thursday, April 30, 2015) at Yeovil’s twin French town of Herblay.

They will cycle from Herblay to Bernay on Day One of the ride and then on Friday travel to Caen to catch an overnight ferry to Portsmouth.

Day Three of the adventure on Saturday (May 2, 2015) will see the cyclists pedal from Pompey to the Poole/Bournemouth area through the New Forest before arriving back at Huish Park, Yeovil, on Sunday (May 3, 2015) at 2pm where they will receive a grandstand welcome from family, friends and supporters.PEDAL FROM PARIS 2015: Good luck to the cyclists!

The cyclists are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust, Cyclists Fighting Cancer and Cystic Fibrosis.

This will be the third cycle ride for the group having travelled back from Crewe in 2013 and Middlesbrough last year in which tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for charities.

There will be youth games from 1pm ahead of the cyclists arriving back at the stadium. There will be a Yeovil Town Ladies game from 3.15pm to 3.45pm ahead of a YTFC Legends charity game from 4pm to 5pm.

There will also be a bouncy castle, face painting and a beer fest on Sunday (May 3, 2015).

The cyclists all have their own individual Just Giving pages in which people can sponsor them.
