YEOVIL NEWS: Volunteer information sessions with the Samaritans

THE Samaritans will be holding volunteer information sessions in Yeovil during the coming weeks for those people who want to lend a listening ear and help make a difference.

The Yeovil and Sherborne branch of Samaritans offers emotional support to people in need 24-7 throughout the year.

People can find out more about the Samaritans’ exceptional training programme and the chance to make a real difference at volunteer information sessions on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 7pm; Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 10am; and Thursday, July 9, 2015, and Thursday, July 23, 2015, both at 7pm.

A spokesman for the group said: “We are keen to hear from anyone over 18 with time in the evenings and weekends.
