YEOVIL NEWS: Store plans for Green Dragon site get go-ahead
PLANNING permission has been gained by developers wanting to build a convenience store on the Green Dragon pub site in Yeovil.
South Somerset District Council has confirmed today (Sunday, April 19, 2015) that plans have been given the go-ahead to demolish the pub in St Michaels Avenue and replaced by a store.
Developers, New River Retail Property Trust No 4, have been given the green light with its plans to build a Co-op store at the site and will include a cash machine, refuse/plant area, associated car parking and landscaping.
The news comes with another pub, the Fleur De Lys, just a few hundred yards down the road, also being converted into a supermarket store.
The decision to grant the application permission was made by the council on Wednesday (April 15, 2015).
